Bercy Village
Bercy Village occupies the former wine warehouses of the Bercy market, the largest wine market in the world in the 19th century: goods arrived by the Seine and by rail before being stored in these long stone buildings. The trade ended in the 1960s.
Redeveloped in 2001, the site kept the cobbled Cour Saint-Émilion, its rails and its warehouses, converted into shops, restaurants and a cinema. Parc de Bercy extends it towards the river. Tip: fully pedestrian and partly sheltered, it is handy in the rain; combine it with a walk in the adjoining park gardens.
