Atelier Brâncuși
Facing the Centre Pompidou, this small building recreates the studio of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, who on his death in 1957 bequeathed his entire studio and works to the French state on condition that it be reconstructed exactly as it was. Architect Renzo Piano designed the current building, inaugurated in the 1990s.
Sculptures, plinths and tools are arranged just as Brâncuși kept them, offering a rare, intimate glimpse into the creative process of a major 20th-century artist.
